Brett D. Guiley, CFP®
Managing Partner | Portfolio Manager
Guiley is managing partner and a portfolio manager with Vista
Investment Partners II, LLC in Richmond Indiana. Brett is proud to be
the leader of a team where the passion for the client relationships and
families who entrust us with their assets and futures is paramount.
Prior to joining Vista, Brett worked at Raymond James and Merrill Lynch
for 18 years.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from the
University of Evansville. He is also a graduate of the Merrill Lynch
Professional Development Program. Brett completed his CERTIFIED
FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2010, as well as the Raymond James
Trust School and Retirement Plan Consultant programs. In 2012, Brett
completed the requirements to become a Discretionary Portfolio Manager.
Brett currently holds the Series 7, Series 66, Series 9, and Series 10

children where he is an active member of First English Lutheran Church
and a committee member of Stage One Youth Theatre. Brett enjoys

In his spare time, Brett enjoys acting, and he is a past President of
Richmond Civic Theatre. He recently ran the 2017 Madison Marathon.
Brett is also an active volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement, where
he was the 2006-2007 Volunteer of the Year. Brett enjoys coaching youth
sports, singing in a praise band, spending time with family, exercising,
and following the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Peter K. Bartel, MBA, WMS
Pete began his business career in the banking industry in 1972, working primarily in the commercial lending field. Since that time, Pete has served on many boards, and worked with a variety of industry groups, where he was able to utilize his financial and lending skills. Pete obtained his MBA in banking from the Stonier School of Banking and left the banking industry in 1993.
Pete started in the investment and securities industry in 1993. He began his career with a small regional firm, Raffensperger Hughes. In late 1994 Pete joined Merrill Lynch and in 1998 after obtaining his principal’s license, became manager of the Richmond office. In 2005 he changed his affiliation to Raymond James as Senior Vice President, Investments and office manager. In 2012 Pete relinquished the title of branch manager to dedicate his time to his clients. In 2013 Pete obtained the title of *Investment Management Consultant.
Pete has served on many community boards and in leadership positions within the Richmond community. They include United Way, Chamber of Commerce, Forest Hills Country Club, YMCA, Reid Hospital Foundation, IU East Advisory Board, and Earlham Cemetery Board.
Pete married his wife, Joan Bartel, in 1975 and they now reside in Wilmington, NC. They have a daughter, Allison Owens, who with her husband Keith, reside in Westfield IN with their two sons. In his spare time, Pete enjoys snow skiing, water sports, exercise, golf, and yard work. Pete also enjoys history and architecture.

Since 1993, Stasia Veramallay-Hodges has been focused on the financial needs of individuals, professionals, business owners and their families. She nurtures and supports every relationship by always keeping her clients first and foremost with unparalleled service and personal commitment.
Her holistic planning-based approach is designed to help navigate her clients’ current financial landscapes while working toward their future long-term goals. Stasia strongly believes being detail oriented and attentive builds a firm foundation for long-lasting partnerships.
Stasia grew up in Richmond, Indiana and attended Indiana University with a concentration in Political Science and Economics. She holds the Series 6, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 Securities licenses as well as a Life and Health Insurance license. Prior to joining Vista Investment Partners in 2017, Stasia worked for JPMorgan Securities, LLC and its predecessors for over 17 years.
Stasia lives in Richmond with her husband, Will, and their daughter, Priya. She comprehends and appreciates global matters while working to better her local community. Stasia takes pride in serving on the Board of Directors for the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chancellor of Indiana University East’s Advisory Board, and the Friends of the Morrisson-Reeves Library Board. She is a member of the Richmond Kiwanis Club and a part of the Women’s Networking Group. Stasia enjoys being one of her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop leaders, coaching youth soccer, and volunteering at church. Traveling, spending time with her immediate and extended friends and family, cooking, and the arts are her passions.
Sarah E. Peacock
Business & Operations Manager
Sarah joined the Vista Investment Partners team in September 2016 as the Branch Operations Specialist. Prior to joining us she worked as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant for 17 years at a local law firm. She works closely with Brett, Pete and Stasia to service the needs of our clients. Sarah has passed the Series 7 General Securities Exam and is working toward the Uniform Combined State Law Exam.
Sarah ensures that all families receive prompt, timely and concise assistance at all times. She is well versed in helping with account balances or updating account information. As the Business and Operations Manager, Sarah assists with most client transactions.
Sarah and her husband Jonathan are the parents of two wonderful children, Ross and Katy. They love spending their time outside in the woods and are always accompanied by their yellow lab, Otis.
Sarah enjoys church, travel, running, and spending time with family and friends.
Penny B. Lakoff
Senior Practice Marketing Associate
Penny joined the Vista Investment Partners team in November 2014 as our Service & Marketing Associate. Prior to joining us, Penny spent more than a dozen years in the insurance industry. She specializes in Medicare supplement, Part D and under age 65 individual health insurance and is well versed in these areas. She feels sound insurance coverage is more important than ever in keeping your “nest egg” safe! Penny is described by her clients as “detail oriented, dedicated, patient, hardworking and diligent.”
Penny is responsible for marketing and servicing client relationships for Vista Investment Partners. Working together with clients and our financial advisors on the complex healthcare expense component of retirement planning. Vista Investment Partners believe it’s never too early to start this discussion! This important planning segment is very individualized and one size does not fit all. She assists in client specific planning decisions involving original Medicare, Medicare Supplement plan choices and Long-Term Care. Penny works diligently to educate and empower our clients to confidently review their Part D choices and decisions annually.
Penny and her husband Tim are the parents of three grown children, Jessica, Ben and Pete. She is a grandparent to one grandson. She enjoys travel, biking, walking her dog, gardening and treasures time spent with her family and friends, near and far away.
Client Service Associate
Kacey joined the Vista Investment Partners team in June 2019 with knowledge and passion for taking care of client needs and building relationships. She handles a variety of daily office functions as well as greeting and assisting clients. Kacey started her career in the financial industry at Mt. McKinley Bank in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Kacey loves the outdoors, which is fitting because she was born and raised in North Pole, Alaska. She grew up fishing, hunting, and camping. In high school and middle school, Kacey loved being a football and wrestling manager, but her passion has always been softball.
While living in Alaska, Kacey was involved in the public safety and the first responder world. Her mother has been a 911 dispatcher for the last twenty-seven years and her grandfather was a firefighter and battalion chief for thirty-six. This inspired her to team up with her local area fire departments to raise money for St. Baldrick’s, an annual event that helps fund the fight to end children’s cancer. Kacey has also participated in the yearly Run From the Cops 5k fundraiser, which was renamed to “Sgt. Brandt Memorial Run from the Cops” to honor their own FPD fallen officer which contributes to Concerns Of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.).
After relocating to Eaton, Ohio to be with her boyfriend Cole, and his three children, Kacey is spending time becoming acquainted with the Midwest. Since moving to Ohio, Kacey has connected with local Veterans and is excited to become involved in her local communities.
